ALDI

I’m not sure if this is always the case but I went to find all those wonderful offers advertised. Cherries, grapes, strawberries but NADA. This store looked like it was getting ready to close down. Shelves were empty and messy looking. I walked out with an empty bag and a $5 bottle of moscato. ALDIs you really need to do something about this store. I’m not sure that they’re all like this but yikes! I won’t be coming here again.

Another one bites the dust!!! Incredibly dissatisfied with Aldi’s decision to follow all other retailers by switching to self check out. I visited today and waited nearly 20 minutes before complaining to a manager about the registers being closed. Two of the six were inoperable while only one of the three cashier service lanes were open. The manager told me initially that the cashier only accepted cash so I ended up piled with another dozen shoppers trying to figure out which do it yourself register would become available. It was definitely a free for all and two women even began shouting at one another when they bumped carts. Finally, when I complained to the same manager as I watched others being serviced by a cashier use their cards to pay he opened up a register and had someone check me out. I complained to Their corporate office but did not hear back. They are probably switching their customer service line to a “do-it-yourself” option as well. To think you have the privilege of paying skyrocketing prices for groceries AND you get to do the work for them as well. I’ll never go back.

Place is very clean, staff are always trying to restock, and the prices are really good too. Staff are really nice, try to help you in any possible way they can, and they are also understanding, polite, and quick. There are lots of products, many from Europe too, and the products have really good prices, they both have the brand ones and the non-brand ones. The non-brand products are also as good as if it were the brand ones, but with a better price. Every week there is some kind of sale on many of the products ranging from foods to household items.

I wanted to like the store. There are some good deals here. But it's often like finding a needle in a haystack. The avocados we just bought were already spoiled. Don't even think of buying the meat here as it's definitely much lower quality. And whenever we buy cheese it never lasts to the expiration date. You expect to save money but you don't expect that the quality will be so poor!

They had some very great deals. Produce was priced decently. And it is lasting, unlike Publix. The rest of the items were okay or fair in price. I love the idea of bringing your own bags. I also love the idea of getting a cart and having to bring it back up, saving the associates time for having to round up carts from people who can't bring their cart back up. The food it's seemed to be priced a bit higher, but I think the contents were larger portions. It was fun browsing through to see their options. Eggs! Oh my goodness! $1.23 for a dozen, unlike the competitors of $2-3 for a dozen. Milk! $3 versus $5 at their competitors! Maybe not everything is a better price or value, but many, many other things are. I will make it my go to place, especially for produce.
